What to Know Before Switching
WhatsApp does not support unofficial apps and cannot guarantee chat migration from them.
Back Up Your Chats and Media
Export what your GB build allows and save media separately.
Check Whether Your Backup Can Be Migrated
Do not assume renaming folders makes official WhatsApp read mod backups.
Install and Set Up Official WhatsApp
Download from Google Play or trusted sources, verify your number, and restore only supported backups.
What If Your Chats Do Not Restore?
Keep mod backups archived and consult restore limitations.
What to Do If Your Account Is Restricted
Follow enforcement messages—see account ban guidance before retrying mods.
